My name is Lynda Duck. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and an Honors graduate of American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. I received my massage license through the Ohio Medical Board. I am currently involved with a new massage program in Newark at CTEC as the massage instructor teaching massage techniques and theory.
An extensive body of research supports the therapeutic claims of massage, with growing evidence that it can contribute to the relief of conditions such as stress, depression and anxiety. Massage reduces your heart rate, enhances circulation, relaxes muscles and increases production of endorphins.
Massage acts as a mechanical cleanser, pushing along lymph and speeding up the elimination of wastes. Massage helps to overcome harmful fatigue resulting from strenuous exercise or injury and improves muscle tone and helps prevent or delay muscular atrophy resulting from inactivity.
Massage is most valued for its 'feel-good' effect. If you have never had a massage, you will wonder how you ever lived without it!
